Welcome to ADT! American Dance Troupe is a non-profit company offering young dancers in our community an opportunity to perform all forms of dance in a concert format. Originally choreographed numbers incorporate ballet, tap, jazz and modern/contemporary dance as well as musical theater. ADT is organized as an ensemble, with each dancer performing with other troupe members of various ages and skill levels. The group was founded in 1982 and is run under the direction of Artistic Director Mark Krupinski. ADT is based in Chesterfield, Missouri. Membership Acceptance into the troupe is based on open auditions scheduled by Artistic Director Mark Krupinski. Auditions are open to male and female dancers ages 8 - 18. Dancers must be currently enrolled in classes at a local dance studio and must be in good standing within that studio. Performances Performances for American Dance Troupe's 2012 Season will be held January 28 and 29 at Desmet Jesuit High School Theatre in Creve Coeur. Sunday, January 29 shows are 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Rehearsals Regular rehearsals are on Saturdays and Sundays at Krupinski Academy of Dance in Chesterfield. Rehearsals are scheduled by the choreographers once casting is complete. Attendance at rehearsals is mandatory -- please see our rehearsal attendance policy. Rehearsal schedules will be posted and updated regularly on this web site. Costs Each dancer in the troupe is responsible for yearly membership dues. Financial assistance is available through the ADT Board for those with proven financial need. Some costumes are provided with the membership dues. Dancers may be required to provide their own costumes or accessories for certain numbers. Show tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at the door. Pre-ordered tickets will be available for pick-up 30 minutes before each performance at DeSmet H.S. Theatre. Performance videos of each show will also be available for sale.
